The Creative City Project (Website) is bringing back two fall favorite immersive installations to Leu Gardens tonight, with some exciting updates and new additions, just in time to shake off that hurricane ennui.
The Halloween-inspired “Happy Frights” and “Haunting Nights” will once again take over the city-run botanical gardens this fall from September 27-October 31. We were invited to a media night earlier in the week, so be sure to watch our sneak peek video below.
Happy Frights is an all-ages, family-friendly trick-or-treat adventure with 14 immersive stops along the route, featuring a mysterious swamp with “larger-than-life wildlife,” a clown-filled Crazy Carnival, a hedge maze, hip-hop aliens, and giant deadly plants.
Haunting Nights is for the adults and takes place when the sun goes down with more grown-up focused programming like a roaming Bigfoot on the shores of Lake Rowena, a sexy minotaur takes over the maze, and the Dia de las Muertos installation starts serving frozen margaritas with live music.
Happy Frights entry times start at 5 p.m. with Haunting Nights taking over at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $27.90 per person and are available HERE for purchase.
