Opera Orlando recently partnered with Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Orlando Sings, and The Defiant Requiem Foundation to present the Florida premiere of Defiant Requiem: Verdi at Terezín on Saturday, September 14 at Steinmetz Hall.
The concert succeeded in bringing in a whopping $100,000 for the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida (Website).
“Earlier this week Opera Orlando was honored to present a $100,000 check to the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida. Woohoo!! This money was raised from our recent benefit concert presentation of DEFIANT REQUIEM. We cannot thank our partners, sponsors, and supporters enough for helping us raise such a substantial amount of funds for such a worthy cause. AND many thanks to all of those who attended!”
