Hurricane Milton hammered many parts of Orlando, but Leu Gardens (Website) managed to take some particularly savage hits during the storm. This led it to remain closed for extensive cleanups, but it has finally reopened.

As seen in the above video, staff and garden volunteers cleaned up tons of vegetative debris over the week to get the 50-acre botanical gardens back into fighting shape, removing felled trees, limbs, bamboo, and random detritus that had overtaken the garden and its walkways.

The gardens reopened to the public on Tuesday, October 15.

The resident Halloween takeover, Happy Frights and Haunting Nights suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Milton as well. The team at Creative City Project (Website) has been hard at work reclaiming their equipment and restoring their installations and will be back open to the public on Friday, October 18.

They have launched some special codes to save on tickets for the Friday reopening. Just type in “FRIGHTFUL15” to save 15% on the family-friendly Happy Frights and/or “HAUNTING 15” to save on the more adult, Haunting Nights.
