The Rollins College Board of Trustees announced earlier today that it would appoint Brooke Barnett, Ph.D., as the 16th president of the private Winter Park-based liberal arts school.
Dr. Barnett will officially join the campus on July 1, 2025, after a tenure as Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Butler University in Indianapolis. Previously, she served as Dean and Professor of Communications at Butler’s College of Communications, as well as a stint at Elon University.
Dr. Barnett has a B.A. in English and Communication Studies from Georgetown College and an M.A. in Journalism, and Ph.D. in Mass Communication with a concentration in Law and Visual Communication from Indiana University.
Barnett was chosen from over 150 applicants.
