Rosenthal worked with Visit Orlando to highlight some of The City Beautiful’s lesser-known restaurants and cultural destinations and sat down with local foodies like Orlando Sentinel‘s Amy Drew Thompson and Tasty Chomp’s Ricky Ly.”

“The Orlando Police Department has announced that it had arrested a 16-year-old for shooting pedestrians in Baldwin Park with a BB/airsoft gun. The teenager has an appropriately Baldwin Park-esque upper-crust name that rhymes with Schmanny Schmee Schmulgar III (we’re not sharing his full name), and he was arrested and charged with five counts of Aggravated Battery with a Weapon and one count of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon.”

Orlando’s largest and most bougie food hall, Hall on the Yard, has reportedly closed. According to security personnel on site, who wished to remain anonymous, the property management company was forced to evict the operators for failing to pay rent. A small printed-out sign reading “Permanently Closed” has been taped to the front door of the building though no official announcement had been made at the time of this post.”

#3 – “River otter responsible for multiple deaths at Lake Eola.”

“A river otter was discovered in Lake Eola on Monday, July 15, unfortunately, the City of Orlando’s Families, Parks, and Recreation staff also found two Australian Black swans and one duck dead. The assumption is that the otter is responsible for the deaths of the swans and ducks though it was not caught on camera.”

#2 – “1,000 gas stations report they’re out of fuel, there’s more on the way.”

“With evacuations and storm prep ramping up ahead of Hurricane Milton landing in Florida later this week, a growing number of gas stations have been running out of fuel. Roughly 1,000 stations are reporting they have run dry at the time of this post, according to CNN.”

“The City of Orlando, in partnership with the Orlando Police Department, has adopted a new policy to close city parking garages after 11 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. The City of Orlando quietly put the new policy into play on May 10, 2024, without any real public announcements, leaving downtown goers and business operators both scratching their heads.”
