Gyukatsu Rose (Instagram), the second project for Domu Dynasty’s offshoot Small Food Group (Instagram) has just shared that it will soft-open on January 16.

The new counter service concept specializes in the traditional Japanese dish gyukatsu; a beef cutlet that is seasoned and coated in breadcrumbs and then briefly fried.  It is sliced and served alongside a mini stone grill for diners to sear the meat to their preferred doneness.  Various sides, including soup, rice, sliced cabbage, potato salad, pickles, dipping sauces, and more accompany the dish.

Gyukatsu Rose is named after Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized Chef Sean “Sonny” Nguyen’s second daughter.
