The Aardvark (Instagram) restaurant has called it quits.
The Aardvark has seen some changes in the past six years, transitioning from a draft supply store to a cafe counter, and most recently into a restaurant. But the windows have been papered over for the past month or so, leading many to wonder if it had closed.
The ownership team recently put everyone on notice though when they called out their former law firm, Lowndes Law Firm (Website) specifically their lawyer Ronny Edwards, for “allow[ing] our new crazy landlords to steal our restaurant. Even though we have a long-term lease that ends in 2045.”
The news of their closure was posted to social media along with the following graphic of a cartoon aardvark throwing a knife at the law firm’s logo, accompanied by an angry cussing emoji and a sad face emoji as seen below. The post also included the hashtags “HopeYouLikeJamaicanFoodWithFoodbornIllnessComplaints” and “LownesLawFirmSucks.”
