PHOTO VIA MILLS 50 DISTRICT

A new “playful eatery” concept called The Burrow Cafe (Instagram | Website) has soft-opened in the Mills 50 District, right in the heart of Little Vietnam, in the former home of the Russian Ballet at 618 N. Mills Avenue [GMap], next to Colonial Photo and Hobby.

The Burrow offers an upscale cafe environment with breakout child-friendly play areas, where parents can have a coffee or something harder like beer or wine while the kids are off in a supervised play area that has little Hobbit houses and soft play spaces. Like a cat cafe, but for kids (though I don’t suggest trying to adopt anyone here).

The coffee is from Lineage Coffee and there’s a snack area for your kids to get carbs if they don’t want any of the fancy pastries on offer in the cafe.

The official opening is scheduled for this Sunday, January 19. Following the opening, The Burrow will be open 8 a.m.-9 p.m., seven days a week.
