The Waterfront Orlando (Facebook | Website) in Edgewood is closed after a sudden fire this weekend damaged part of the building.
Firefighters responded to the South Orange Avenue restaurant shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday, January 26. The owners shared with several news outlets that they were unsure of the cause of the fire but that they would be working on reopening as soon as possible.
Nobody was injured.
The restaurant has been open since 1972.
A GoFundMe is expected to be launched soon and we will be adding a link to the fundraiser as soon as it becomes available.
Here is the Gofundme to support the staff that lost their jobs on Sunday. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-waterfront-staff-after-devastating-fire
why does every business set up a “go fund me”, for customers to help pay to keep them in business? Isn’t that the point of charging a fee for services and fire insurance. Will contributors be treated as investors and get discounts or shares in the business.
The gofundme is to help the servers who have lost their jobs due to the fire. Not to rebuild the restaurant, although I would contribute to that one too! .
