The City of Winter Park and its Arts and Culture Alliance (Website) are ramping up for a special Arts Weekend on February 20-23.
The four-day arts extravaganza is presented by Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation and AdventHealth and will highlight the 22 members of the Alliance with dozens of community events and performances on Central Park’s Main Stage and cultural venues around the city.
Events include:
- 6 p.m. Thursday, February 20 – Discover the important correlation between arts and health with a keynote speaker, Jill Sonke, Ph. D. at the Center for Health & Wellbeing. Registration is required for this free community event.
- 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 21 – Free community event in Central Park. Bring your blankets and chairs to experience Big Band Spirituals, performed and sponsored by the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park.
- 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22 – Immerse yourself at Art in the Park. Live performances and interactive arts activities will include touch a piece of history, watch a musical act, take an art selfie, engage in an opera all in Central Park.
- Sunday, February 23 – Experience the wonderful museums, gardens, and theatrical and musical venues throughout the city. Special programming and discounts will be available at participating Alliance member locations.
