The Swamp Sistas (Instagram) are teaming up with Will’s Pub to host a Mardi Gras-themed party on Fat Tuesday, March 4, starting at 6 p.m.
The Mardi Gras Mambo will feature an evening of music by Beth McKee and Her Funky Time Band joined by the Brackish Horns led by Bunky Garrabrant, Ka Malinalli, Renee Arozqueta, Amy Robbins, and Jen Lowe. DJ Pocky Way will be spinning Mardi Gras and Louisiana-inspired tracks, and there will be plenty of carnival games and prizes to enjoy.
The Swamp Sistas will lead a parade around the block and the Will’s Pub bar will be serving jambalaya or vegan red beans and rice with French bread for a suggested $5 donation. Yes, there will be King Cake.
Tickets to the Mardi Gras Mambo are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Proceeds will go to the Swamp Sistas La La Foundation’s 2025 programming, which includes a new collaborative recording project and release that will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
