Downtown Orlando is about to get a new sophisticated addition to its dining and drinking scene when Allure Lounge (Instagram) opens (City Hall permitting) by the end of the month.

Allure is a stylish new restaurant lounge that is opening in the historic Elijah Hand Building, located at 13 W. Pine Street [GMap]. The property was originally occupied by the Magnolia Hotel and was purchased by Elijah Hand in 1905. Hand migrated to Orlando from Shelbyville, Indiana, in 1885 and is the first funeral director in the Orlando area to use embalming.

Allure is a new project by Dr. Patrick Hamadi, a Congolese-born businessman and Clinical Researcher, who has opened other successful ventures in South Africa.

The lounge features plush seating, ambient lighting, and a sound system designed to deliver a seamless blend of house, R&B, and contemporary beats featuring a rotating lineup of resident DJs and live performers.

They’ll be open 11 a.m. to midnight and specialize in small plates and tapas and will be opening with brunch service, followed by lunch and dinner (and late dinner).

Follow them on Instagram for an update on their opening schedule.
