Leu Gardens (Website) will host this month’s Movie in the Gardens selection on Friday, April 4, and it has lots of interesting informational tidbits about walruses.
This month’s selection is “50 First Dates,” an amazing rom-com that follows Henry (Adam Sandler), a Hawaiian playboy who finally meets the perfect girl, Lucy (Drew Barrymore), only to realize she has short-term memory loss and wakes up each morning thinking it’s the same day. Instead of running for the hills like the normal commitment-phobe he is, Henry decides to win her heart every single day—with creative dates, a homemade VHS, and a lot of patience.
Featuring Rob Schneider in peak goofball mode and a love story so sweet it’ll make your dentist nervous, 50 First Dates is like Groundhog Day, but with more pineapples and less existential dread.
Garden gates open at 7 p.m. with the movie starting at 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating and alcohol. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 17.
