We told you HERE in May 2023 that Tennessee-based High Point Climbing and Fitness (Facebook | Website) had signed on to bring a new 45,000 SF facility to Orlando’s $700 million Packing District development, and the time has almost arrived for them to open their doors.

The gym, which is being billed as the largest indoor climbing facility in the South, is an adaptive reuse of a warehouse building at 1978 Stanhome Way [GMap] that now includes a 52-foot rope climbing area with the only competition speed wall in Florida, along with a large bouldering and training area. High Point Orlando will also include a 5,000 SF Kid Zone with specialty climbing elements.

“The opening of High Point Climbing is an exciting milestone for the Packing District, bringing a dynamic new experience to Orlando,” said Ken Robinson, President and CEO of Dr. Phillips Charities. “More than just climbing, it’s about building community and creating a space for more people to connect.”

High Point will open to members sometime in mid-May and then to the general public sometime after Memorial Day, later in the month. You can sign up to be a founding member right now in order to be invited to the private soft-launch on their website. Memberships currently start at $899 per year for adults, but there are family and student discounts available as well.
