City Food Hall has officially opened its doors in Ivanhoe Village, transforming the former Hall on the Yard space at 1412 Alden Road [GMap] into a hopeful new 12,550-square-foot culinary destination. This newly reoccupied venue features a lineup of chef-driven food stalls, multiple full-service bars, and a second-floor French brasserie, which sounds like a euphemism but isn’t.
City Food Hall brings together a curated selection of vendors, each offering unique dishes:
- Eggdose (Instagram): Serving two-handed egg sandwiches served on brioche buns, biscuits, and pancake things, offering a fresh take on breakfast classics.
- Ramen Takagi (Instagram): A family-owned establishment delivering authentic Japanese ramen, complemented by gyoza, Japanese fried chicken, and onigiri. They won Ramen Rumble 2024, so you know they can throw down.
- Taglish (Instagram): A revival of the beloved Filipino eatery, serving dishes like lumpia, pork adobo rice bowls, pork BBQ skewers, and the popular Ube Horchata.
- Smash Dunk (Instagram): A basketball-themed burger joint, known for “The Lay-Up Burger” featuring chopped bacon and house cheddar sauce. You can find their food truck at the SoDo A La Cart location too.
- Cheese to Share (Instagram): A European-inspired spot offering sandwiches, flatbreads, and cheeseboards, promoting communal dining experiences.
- Blessed Belly (Instagram): Originating from a food truck, this vendor specializes in birria tacos, quesadillas, ramen, and even birria pizza. Birria everything.
- Kalalou: Bringing Caribbean and Haitian flavors to one of the whitest neighborhoods in Orlando with dishes like curry chicken, griot, and oxtail.
Each stall has its own point of sale.
As earlier stated, the second floor houses Chez Les Copains, a French brasserie led by Michelin-starred Chef Mike Collantes, offering brunch on weekends and dinner throughout the week, with menu items such as steak tartare, bone marrow, caviar, and shrimp cocktail.
City Food Hall is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. It is pet and child-friendly, though not all of its guests are so keep ’em on their respective leashes.
