Thornton Park is throwing a two-week-long neighborhood-wide birthday party for its favorite free-range, not-abandoned-though-curiously-left-alone-outside-a-lot cat, Lulu (Instagram).

For two weeks, people can explore the neighborhood’s local businesses via a Lulu Passport. You can collect a stamp for every time you purchase something at those businesses or participate in a Lulu-themed “adventure” – though we have no idea what those adventures may be, but we hope it doesn’t involve killing native birds and lizards.

Each stamp in your passport will count as a raffle for special prizes.

Participating businesses include:

  • Anthony’s Thornton Park
  • The Black Lab Soapery
  • Burtons Bar
  • Cavos
  • The Classic
  • The Falcon
  • Honey House Vintage
  • Kaleidoscope
  • Lambs Eat Ivy Salon
  • The Pop-Up Room
  • The Red Scarlet Salon
  • Vamp

Follow their Facebook Event page for updates and prize previews.

A special cat-inspired art show is planned for Saturday, May 17, at 8 p.m. at The Falcon Bar. Proceeds from the activation will go to Brozanski for Cats (Website), a local non-profit cat rescue organization..
