The Orlando Fire Department is celebrating the City’s 140th Anniversary with a newly wrapped fire truck that was revealed earlier today at a special ceremony.
The event was hosted at the Randall R. Tuten Orlando Fire Museum (Website) in Loch Haven Park. Fire Chief Charlie Salazar, Mayor John Dyer, and retired OFD Lieutenant Bill Griffin spoke on the growth of the department and its legacy.
The new 140th Anniversary-wrapped Fire Engine 101 will be on the streets through the next year. According to a release issued by OFD earlier today, Fire Engine 101 is one of the busiest units in the entire country.
