Orlando City SC delivered a resounding statement Sunday night, defeating heated interstate rivals Inter Miami CF 3-0 at Chase Stadium. The win not only catapulted the Lions ahead of Miami in the standings but also extended Orlando’s unbeaten run across all competitions to 12 matches, tying a club record.

Fueled by standout performances from Luis Muriel, Marco Pašalić, and Dagur Dan Thórhallsson, the Lions (6-2-6, 24 points) now sit above Miami (6-3-4, 22 points) in the Eastern Conference standings and continue to build momentum midway through the 2025 MLS season.

The Lions opened the scoring late in the first half after a deep kick from goalkeeper Pedro Gallese found Luis Muriel streaking behind the Miami backline.

Just eight minutes after the break, Orlando doubled its advantage. Martín Ojeda, a constant threat down the right wing, cut a perfect ball back into the box for Marco Pašalić. The Croatian forward drilled a first-time strike that Ustari couldn’t keep out, making it 2-0.

In the last few moments of stoppage time, Orlando added an exclamation point. A quick transition saw Duncan McGuire and Kyle Smith link up down the left wing, culminating in a low cross to Dagur Dan Thórhallsson, who tapped the ball in to seal a 3-0 rout.
