The Guinness Book of World Records has just named the newest “Shortest Dog” title holder, and she happens to live in Orlando.
Two-year-old Pearl measures in at just over three-and-a-half inches tall and lives with the Semler family, who say she has a larger-than-life personality that makes up for her small stature. Pearl’s petite stature (she weighs 1.22 pounds) has made her a local celebrity, and she is affectionately known as Orlando’s “dinkiest diva.” Her owner, Vanesa Semler, describes Pearl as a spirited and confident pup who enjoys the attention her unique size brings.

Pearl is descended from a long line of tiny doggos, including her mother, Miracle Milly, the previous record holder who measured just 3.8 inches tall and also belonged to the Semlers.
Despite her diminutive dimensions, Pearl is in good health and leads a full life, often accompanying Semler on outings around the city. So say hi if you see her. Don’t give her any treats, though, she has a title to uphold.
