- A cherished bronze eagle statue was stolen from a downtown Orlando law firm during a recent break-in, leaving the widow of a respected local attorney devastated.
- Scholars Restaurant and Bar is set to open in the space formerly occupied by Frosty’s Christmastime Lounge. The new concept will serve “social-friendly, quick fixes of Mexican and American mainstays topped with signature sauces.”
- 88 Donuts Bakery Cafe has just opened its doors in the Curry Ford West Main Street District.
- The Orange County Regional History Center will host a special lecture on Sunday, June 15, all about Orlando’s first African American community, Jonestown.
