Art doesn’t need perfect gallery lighting or a glass of white wine to make an impact—sometimes it just needs a wall in a government building with fluorescent lighting and something important to say.
Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Public Art Review Board, is proud to present the newest Art in the Chambers exhibition: The Art and Activism of PJ Svejda, opening Monday, June 16 at 5:30 p.m. inside the Orange County Administration Center.
PJ Svejda studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design before building a career as an artist and instructor in Atlanta. Since relocating to Orlando, she’s become a force in the local art scene—known for emotionally charged, classically inspired works that don’t shy away from the hard stuff.
Her paintings explore coexistence between humans, animals, and the planet, using bold imagery to spotlight injustice, raise self-awareness, and invite change. Whether she’s confronting environmental collapse or speaking up for the voiceless, Svejda’s work is both personal and political—beautiful, yes, but also urgent.
The exhibit runs through September 23, 2025, and is free and open to the public during regular business hours.
The Chambers Gallery is located inside the Orange County Administration Center (201 S. Rosalind Ave.) and open Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (closed holidays).

It may not be a museum, but trust us—this one’s worth stepping into a government building for.
