Loch Haven Park is the place to be today (Thursday, June 19) as the 5th Annual Facets of Freedom Juneteenth Festival takes over Orlando Family Stage for a full day of culture, community, and celebration.

Hosted by Black Theatre Girl Magic, this free, family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and includes everything from story time and face painting to live performances and an evening showcase featuring some of Central Florida’s most exciting Black artists.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

10 a.m.–Noon: Family “Lunch & Learn”
Start the day with kids’ crafts, book readings, and interactive Juneteenth history lessons for little ones and their grown-ups.

Noon–6 p.m.: Outdoor Vibes + Black Business Expo
Grab a bite from local food trucks, shop Black-owned vendors, and catch live music and entertainment on the outdoor stage.

6 p.m. & 8 p.m.: Evening Showcases at Orlando Family Stage
Two indoor performances under the Facets of Freedom banner spotlighting local Black performers in music, poetry, and theater.

The festival began as a modest celebration during the pandemic and has grown into one of the most vibrant Juneteenth events in Orlando—part cultural celebration, part call to action, and all about community.

The event is free but donations are welcome. For the full schedule and more info, head to the Eventbrite page here.
