What started as a devastating moment for one hardworking Orlando teen has turned into a powerful show of community kindness.

Bad As’s Burgers (@badass_burgersfl), the popular burger joint on Curry Ford known for its cheeky attitude and big flavors, shared surveillance footage on Instagram last night of a what appears to be a man stealing an e-bike right outside their shop. The post quickly took a heartfelt turn when the business revealed that the bike belonged to one of their young employees—a kid with no car, no family nearby, and a 30-minute commute who “works hard every single day.”

“For someone who’s trying to do everything right,” they wrote, “this is gut-wrenching.”

But Orlando didn’t let the story end there.

Within hours, dozens of comments poured in, with locals offering to help replace the bike and expressing their support for the young worker.

This morning, Bad As’s Burgers gave an update: “The kindness shown from our community has been overwhelming! We had a very generous donation going directly to our staff member for the full e-bike amount.”

While the thief hasn’t been caught, something pretty great happened—a young man who shows up to work every day against the odds got a reminder that he matters, and that Orlando has his back.
