The Orlando Magic just added a familiar name to their roster, selecting guard Jase Richardson with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Michigan State freshman averaged 12.1 points and shot over 41% from three, helping the Spartans reach the Elite Eight. He earned All-Big Ten Third Team and Freshman Team honors along the way.

If that last name sounds familiar, it’s because it is: Jase is the son of Jason Richardson, who played 13 seasons in the NBA, including two solid years in Orlando from 2010–12. Now the younger Richardson is set to suit up in the same city, wearing #11 as he carves out his own legacy.
