There’s a new fire burning in Thornton Park.

JUNE, the wood-fired contemporary Mexican restaurant from the team behind Mathers and The Wellborn, has officially soft-opened at 700 E Washington Street, and this one’s not just hot, it’s clean-burning.

Taking over the old Graffiti Junktion spot in Thornton Park, JUNE brings bold Yucatán-inspired flavors with a fresh, elevated twist, and Orlando foodies are already buzzing.

Here’s what sets JUNE apart:

  • No seed oils. Just traditional fats like olive and avocado oil.
  • No industrial processing.
  • Minimal refined sugar, with natural sweeteners doing the heavy lifting.
  • A gluten-free focus, with 90% of the menu already on board.
  • And a local connection: They get fresh masa daily from Hunger Street Tacos to make their corn tortillas from scratch.

The food leans fire-forward and shareable, with wood-grilled proteins, tamales, ceviches, and sashimi-style dishes that hit big on flavor without weighing you down.

The drinks follow suit. Expect house-made mixers, fresh-pressed juices, and clean spirits. No gun syrups. No shortcuts.

The space is breezy and intentional, with leafy patio seating out front and a clean, natural interior that feels stylish without being snotty.

JUNE is currently in soft-open mode with limited reservations available on Resy. They strongly recommend booking ahead to help make every experience a good one, but hospitality is a core value here, so they’ll always do their best to accommodate walk-ins.

Tomorrow, July 4, with everything happening around Lake Eola, they’re going walk-ins only. No reservations. Just good vibes, delicious food, and possibly the perfect spot to catch the fireworks from the patio with a refreshing cocktail in hand.

They haven’t set a grand opening date yet, but we’ll let you know when they do. In the meantime, they’re focused on nailing dinner service, with plans to launch Saturday and Sunday brunch as soon as they can.

If you’re looking for Orlando’s next big dining obsession, this might be it.
