Jingle All the Way
What passed for a family comedy in the mid 90s is pretty bizarre. Sure this is a Schwarzenegger vehicle where he is out to get his son the perfect Christmas gift (we all wanted a Turbo Man after this came out), but there is an underlying weirdness to this flick that makes it pretty damn wonderful. Sinbad is certifiably insane, Phil Hartman is creepy, and there is a massive fight scene involving Vern Troyer dressed as Santa. Fun for the whole family.
Half dysfunctional family comedy, half inappropriate home invasion movie involving an 8 year old. Classic.
We all know it, we all love it. Between the performances from Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara, John Candy, and obviously Macaulay Culkin, the wonderful score by John Williams, and the very recognizable writing of John Hughes… this Christmas classic is mandatory viewing every year.
Bring chairs as seating will be limited.
Food from Gringos Locos, Iron Cow, Badass Sandwich, or anywhere you’d like is welcome! Outside drinks are not. Beer, Wine, Hard Seltzer, Cider, and Non alcoholic beverages available inside The Nook.
