An Evening with Ronaldo V. Wilson and Bhanu Kapil
January 29, 2016 @ 6:00 pm

Join us for a reading and performance with TPJ Scholars Ronaldo V. Wilson and Bhanu Kapil. Both Wilson and Kapil’s poetry and writings deal with the problems of the body in place, out of place, as racialized object, cyborg, traveler, and monster. Wilson’s performances combine poetry with dance, song, and art-making. Kapil’s background in body therapy informs the “somatic” work she conducts to generate new hybrid forms of writing and thinking.
This event is co-sponsored by the Cornell Fine Arts Museum and the Rollins College English Department’s Writing Program. The event is presented by Vidhu Aggarwal, Ph.D., Associate Professor of English, Rollins College and Founding Editor, Specs Journal.
