AUDITIONS: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for Central Florida Community Arts’ upcoming concert production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will take place on June 5 & 6 from 7pm to 11pm.

The production takes place on September 8 & 9, 2016.

This production is directed by Rob A. Lott with musical direction by Jacob Haines, assistant direction and visual design by Ashley Willsey, and choreography by Katherine Rivera. Auditions will be held at the central campus of CFCArts, which is located on the campus of Central Christian Church, 250 SW Ivanhoe Blvd, Orlando, 32804.

SHOW SYNOPSIS
Any dream will do… The Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes alive onstage this fall. The young dreamer, Joseph, is favored by his father, but sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. Though he initially finds favor with his master, Joseph soon finds himself wrongfully imprisoned. But when the highest authority in the land needs help, Joseph faces his ultimate challenge. Featuring a fantastic choir, live music by the sensational CFCArts symphony orchestra, and many of the finest actors in Central Florida, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s timeless musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” paints an adventure of family, hope, and the power of faith.

Actors’ Equity Members are eligible to perform. All roles are available and unpaid.

AUDITION MATERIALS
• Please bring a non-returnable head shot and resume.
• Prepare 16 bars that best show off your voice. You may be given sides to read at the audition.
• Bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist is provided. No pre-recorded accompaniment please.
• Auditioners must be at least 16 years of age.

Auditions are held at the Central Florida Community Arts’ Main Campus, located at 250 Southwest Ivanhoe Blvd, Orlando, FL 32804. Callbacks will be held June 9 & 10, 2016 at 7pm.

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals begin in late June and will continue on Monday and Thursday evenings near Downtown Orlando, with the possibility of occasional weekend rehearsals. The production takes place on September 8 and 9 at Northland, a 3,100 seat state-of-the-art venue in Longwood, FL.
