Backyard Biodiversity Day celebrates Florida’s native flora and fauna. Come out and enjoy noted speakers, workshops, guided hikes, local vendors, and a huge native plant sale!
This FREE family-friendly event features:
– Informative presentations about creating biodiverse backyard habitats that help support bees & native wildlife
– Interpretive hikes focusing on pollinator insects, edible plants, herpetology, gopher tortoises, and the ongoing sandhill habitat restoration project at Mead Garden
– Native plant & wildflower seed sale
– Environmentally-conscious exhibitors and vendors
– Kids activities
– Food trucks
– Live music
