Instructor: Kenny Coogan

Learn carnivorous plant care and their history-presented by a vegetarian! Join Kenny Coogan, Education Director of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, as he shares the murderous qualities of these wicked plants! With over 650 species found globally, and several only found in Florida, it’s easy to find one that will grow for you. The talk will be followed by a carnivorous plant sale including, Nepenthes, Sarracenia, Drosera, Pinguicula and the infamous Venus Fly Trap.

Kenny’s newest book, “Florida’s Carnivorous Plants” is now available for Pre-Order at his website kennycoogan.com.

Kenny Coogan is a food, farm, and flower columnist. Coogan leads workshops about owning chickens, vegetable gardening, animal training, and corporate team building on his homestead. He has a FL state nursery license and grows dozens of carnivorous plant species. He is the author of 99 ½ Homesteading Poems: A Backyard Guide to Raising Creatures, Growing Opportunity, and Cultivating Community.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.

Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.

Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
