Central Florida’s Kwanzaa Celebration Day 2 Kujichagulia Self-Determination

Join us for Day – 2 of the Central Florida Kwanzaa Celebration at the Winter Park Community Center sponsored by The Equity Council Corp in conjunction with Bridge the Gap Coalition, Afrikan Kulcha School, and the Hannibal Square Heritage Center.
Kwanzaa, a cultural holiday created in 1966, is a celebration of African culture and the community’s acknowledgment of seven principles referred to as Nguzo Saba (En-goo-zoh-Sah-Bah), which are practice daily in African culture both on the continent of Africa and by African’s in the Diaspora. On December 27th, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., during the 7 day-long celebrations of Kwanzaa, come celebrate the principle of self-determination, Kujichagulia and join us at the Winter Park Community Center for the community Kwanzaa candling lighting ceremony, drum circle, dancing, performances, plus a motivational panel discussion with special guest Wendy Cowan, Miles Mulrain Jr., and Timothy Adebula; with great food provided by guest chef Rachelle Macelhannon, founder and certified health consultant of the holistic wellness company 99 Plants.
