Coastal Disasters: Preparing Resilient Communities

In the U.S., we continue to see an increase in billion-dollar disasters. The 2017 Hurricane Season – most notably Harvey, Irma and Maria caused an estimated $300 billion in damages and tested those communities’ disaster resilience.
Guest speaker, Dr. Claire Connolly Knox, an expert on post-disaster resilience planning and policy, will present the results of her research with examples from Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
Optional dinner buffet is available starting at 5:45 PM. Dinner buffet is $20, payable at the event with cash or credit card.
