More about our speakers;
Luigi Guadarrama is Sierra Club Florida Chapter Political Director. He is a veteran of multiple successful political campaigns, including Mayor Hancock’s campaign in Denver, Mayor Mendenhall’s campaign in Salt Lake City, and President Biden’s campaign in Michigan. Everyone across the nation is well aware of the political climate we have here in Florida, and Luigi is passionate about working with grassroots volunteers and communities to build a powerful environmental coalition of voters to elect good candidates up and down the ballot and to create positive change for the environment.
Lee Perry is a climate activist who led the United Nations Accredited NGO: IDEAS For Us for Us, supporting Climate Action Projects around the world before starting her political career in 2020. She started by running the office of an environmental lawyer and local Rights of Nature Founder: Commissioner Nicole Wilson of Orange County District 1. In 2022, she worked as the campaign manager for a conservation champion, Carlos Guillermo Smith before transitioning in 2023 as the Regional Director for Florida Rising.
Her passion for the environment frequently intersects with her political work as she organizes campaigns such as the “Save Split Oak Forest” Campaign, The “Right to Clean Water” Campaign and the “Stop the Starve” Manatee Campaign throughout Central Florida.
She is dedicated to building a movement, inspiring the youth to participate in government and will forever be linked to environmentally-focused causes that she wholeheartedly believes in.
