FAMILY DAY: Around the World!

Bring the entire family to the Orlando Museum of Art for its FREE Family Day, “Around the World,” on February 6!

Sponsored by PNC, and tying in with OMA’s wildly popular current exhibition, “Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment,” guests will travel through the National Geographic exhibition on a family-friendly tour and enjoy live multicultural performances, gallery and art activities, and more! This festive art celebration will be day of adventure and family fun!

Highlighting this event will be the presentation of National Geographic photographer Erika Larsen, who will present her findings from four years of living with and documenting the indigenous Scandinavian population of Sámi reindeer herders.

Larsen’s talk will focus on the unique human-animal interactions, North Sámi language, the symbiotic relationship between the people and their environment as well as her own insights into the cultural and daily life of the Sámi. The talk will be preceded by a 10 minute video bringing you on a journey to the Arctic and and into the world of the Sámi reindeer herders.

OMA’s free Family Day will also feature dance and musical performances, art activities, presentations, and demonstrations.

The event is FREE for the whole family untl 2 p.m.
