Functionally Literate presents: Akbar Shahzad & Sarah Pinsker

Join us for a night of imaginative readings, and a discussion about writing across genres and borders.

Akbar Shahzad, based in Karachi, Pakistan, is the most recent winner of The Salam Award for Imaginative Fiction.

Sarah Pinsker has won several awards for her writing, including the Nebula and the Sturgeon, and is the author of the much-anticipated story collection, Sooner or Later Everything Falls into the Sea.

Seating is first come, first served, general admission. RSVPs are not required, but appreciated.

Donations are encouraged to help keep this series free.

Books available for purchase/signing. Beer/wine/snacks served at the theater’s concession stand.

Doors: 6:45pm. Reading starts at 7:15 pm in the Mandell Theater within the Shakespeare Center.

Parking: large lot in front of the theater, bike racks, ride share… drones?
