Want to learn how to grow your own food in Orlando?
Rob Greenfield is here to help you. Rob moved to Orlando just a year ago and has produced multiple overflowing veggie gardens, with more food than he and his friends can eat! He’s currently growing and foraging 100% of his food for a year.

He’s still a beginner, but knows enough to help get you started and has the keys to vastly increase your chances of successful growing in the Orlando area. The basics of growing food in Orlando will be covered and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions (he won’t know all the answers though).
These are free workshops, offered at your service to help you grow your own food and share it with your community.
Free seeds will be available as well!

Each session offered is basically the same. This is not a series with each class covering different content. However with the changing season and different questions slightly different content will be discussed in each class, so it is certainly worth attending multiple classes.

The first 1.5 hours are class in garden including plenty of time for q&a.
Afterwards please stick around and help with some weeding and hands on gardening. If everyone just helps for 15 minutes this demonstration garden can be kept productive for all to learn from! The class is free after all. 🙂

This workshop is outside in the garden and the garden receives full sun. Dress accordingly and bring water. There is no bathroom available but East End Market is a short walk away.

Arrive on time if you want to learn as much as you can. If you arrive late and information has already been covered, it is unlikely that it will be covered twice in the same workshop, to be respectful to those who’ve already heard it. There is a lot of information to share in just 1.5 hours.

Please ride a bike, walk or take public transportation if it is within your capacity. To keep the area open and free of congestion please DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET by the garden. You can park at Audubon Park Covenant Church at 3219 Chelsea St., just a few blocks away. Or just part a block away if that doesn’t work for you.

Children and dogs are welcome as long as they do not disrupt class at all.
