Set in 1950s and inspired by the short stories of Damon Runyon, this “Musical Fable of Broadway” hosts a colorful and eccentric cast of characters with monikers like Nathan Detroit, Sky Masterson, Liver Lips Louie, and Harry the Horse — to name just a few. This motley collection of small-time gamblers is joined by darling dancers from the Hot Box, their various and sundry patrons, eccentric con artists and, marching in their midst, a Salvation Army Band struggling to save their souls.
This great American musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser won the Tony for Best Play in 1950 and has since seen several Broadway and London revivals. Wonderful show tunes like “Luck Be a Lady,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat” are sure to lift your spirits and leave you humming along!
