I N K Y F I N G E R S – Printmaking and Zine Fest
On Sunday, October 29th from 2 – 6pm
At Space Station Orlando at 2539 Coolidge Ave Orlando, FL
Schedule of events:
PAPER MAKING from 2-3 Try your hand at making a sheet of beautiful handmade paper using shredded book pages from Joybird Books and natural abaca pulp with students from Rollins College.
SCREEN PRINTING from 3 -4 Resident artist of Space Station Orlando, Aaron Sarkisian, will be opening up their studio and teaching the finesse of screen printing. There will be shirts, totes and posters to print on for a small fee. You can bring something to print on or pull a test print for FREE.
LETTERPRESS + LEGO PRINTMAKING from 4-5 Rachel Simmons, Director of the Book Arts Guild of CFL, will lead a letterpress and Lego printmaking activity. Prints will be free to make and take!
MAKE A ZINE! from 5-6 Learn how to fold and design your own zine (inexpensive, self-published books) with Alex Moonsang from the Book Arts Guild of Central Florida.
BOOKS & TYPEWRITERS all day 2 – 6 Browse used books and try your hand at writing on a selection of vintage typewriters with Nick from Joybird Books.
As print and zine makers, we want more people to experience the magical awesomeness of putting ink on paper.
For this free, public event, we’ll have demos with free take aways on lego printing, letterpress, screen printing, zine making with typewriters and even paper making. Artists will have zines & prints for sale, and there’ll be complimentary snacks and beverages.

This event is free with a suggested donation.
We are also offering a VIP ticket that comes with a unique limited event print.
