Late Medieval Piety and Anxiety about the End of the World
With the publication of the “Apocalypse” in 1498, the painter and printmaker Albrecht Dürer meteorically rose to international fame in Europe. In this lecture Dale Montgomery Fellow Rangsook Yoon shares the groundbreaking nature and historical significance of this series that consists of fifteen woodcuts and the text of Revelations.
The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is located on the Rollins College campus. Museum admission is free.
