Light of Play

Art For All Spaces presents “Light of Play”, a special exhibition of the work of Lisa Ikegami, at FAVO studios, August 2, from 5-9 pm. Lisa is a local fine artist and author/illustrator who has a unique approach to her creations, puling on her memories of childhood art training by her father in her processes of work. Through her use of a wide range of media and techniques with vibrant color and light play, especially with her watercolors, mixed media, and alcohol inks on Yupo, Lisa has created a striking, singular approach to modern impressionism.

“In this exhibit, I aim to express a different way of perceiving our world, from natural to man-made creations- to use light and color in a new way, in an attempt to hearken us back to how we used to see things: to a time before life had given us rules – when perhaps we saved moments, tasted laughter, and felt light.”
