After the monumental success of Jaws in the summer of 1975, every hack and smarmy producer wanted a piece of that killer fish action. In 1977 the best ripoff we’ve ever seen was unleashed onto unsuspecting moviegoers.
Orca is basically Death Wish with a killer whale in the Charles Bronson role.
The writers dig deep to find every aquatic cliche they can… and the result are pure garbage. Wonderful, wonderful garbage.
