Pottery Open Studio

Experienced pottery students may work independently on advanced hand-building and wheel throwing. Personal instruction is provided as needed on advanced finishing techniques like satins, underglazes, and colored slips as well as alternative firings such as raku, horsehair raku, and saggar. Clay, use of tools, glazes and lockers are included with the materials fee. *Prerequisite: Introduction to Pottery or equivalent experience in the use of the potter’s wheel, hand building, and glazing.
