ReThinking Infill and Affordable Housing
August 27, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FREE
Central Florida is going through a housing crisis, which makes finding quality affordable housing difficult. Building more homes provides a solution, but not contributing to sprawl should also be a priority. With these ideas in mind, the Hannibal Square Community Land Trust is developing homes on an infill site on Orange Center Boulevard which previously housed distressed dilapidated apartments.
Camille Reynolds, executive director of the Hannibal Square Land Trust, will discuss how this innovative project will provide housing for a range of income levels, serve as a catalyst to revitalize the surrounding neighborhood, and set a template for creative infill development.
