Please join Stanford’s Cyber Policy Center and New York University’s Center for Social Media and Politics to discuss our recently released book on Social Media and Democracy: The State of the Field and Prospects for Reform, during a half-day symposium on September 8th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. pacific time.

Social Media and Democracy features the most recent work from leading scholars around the world examining questions of how new online media are impacting democratic information ecosystems, and what can be done. This seminar will synthesize key findings, clarify what we do and don’t know, identify potential policy priorities, and help to chart a course for future research.
