Switching On: The Partisan Webinar

July 31, 2020 @ 7:30 am - 8:45 am

How Should Culture and Place Shape the Built Environment? Join us for our upcoming webinar with our insightful design panel.

We know that the built environment will have a significant impact on the future of our sustainable development.

We need to make clear decisions about the kind of built environment we want future generations to live and work in.

But to do this we must understand who we are building for, what their needs are, and how these needs might alter over time.

Towns and cities are not fixed. They change and evolve.

Culture and place have a two-way relationship: culture shapes places, but places also shape the cultures that grow up within them.

The challenge for people working in the built environment is to incorporate social value meaningfully in the design and development process to reflect the importance of culture and its relationship with place.

The stakes have never been higher: cities and towns of the future need to be fit for the communities that use and occupy them.

If culture and place are to help shape the built environment, how can we make this happen?

You’re invited to tour Partisan Switching On Webinar, on 31st July, where our guest panellists will be:

  • Mark Graham Director LDA Design
  • Martin Stockley Stockley Partnership, HS2 Deputy Design Chair
  • Warren Bramley warrenbramley.com
