The Dark Type: Love is in the Air

6-8PM: Free-type on typewriters
8-10PM: Love-themed open mic

Valentine’s is all around us, shooting arrows at our faces and killing flowers at every opportunity. Pre-game the creepiest holiday of the year at The Nook with some help from our friends at Joybird Books.

From 6-8, we’ll have typewriters set up so you can (anonymously) write your secret crush. From 8-10, we’ll have a very special open mic! Sign up to perform your most saccharin love poem or confess your adoration for one or more boy bands

Limerick Slam Battles will be going on throughout the evening. Contestants will be performing a limerick they have never seen before, competing against other readers for gift cards from The Nook and Joybird.

For the lovers out there, we’ll have Erotic Mad Libs. The audience will fill out the adjectives, nouns, and body parts, and one half of the lucky couple will have to read it to their boo.
