The Talk: Age Appropriate

August 4, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The talk is a scary thing

We all try to protect our children, teach them, and do our best to prepare them to be successful when they grow up. We teach them how to walk, talk, read, write, and act. We enroll them in school to further their education and cultivate their skills. Unfortunately, for many, some very important lessons are never taught and lead to confusion, a lack of personal autonomy, and often a string of unhappy and failed relationships.

We wouldn’t have someone watch The Fast & the Furious, then hand them the keys to a car! Yet that is what to often do when it comes to our children and sex & relationships. We often don’t go into enough detail when teaching them about consent, respect, communication, and YES, pleasure & sex, as all of these are essential parts of a healthy relationship.

Most of us are uncomfortable with the very thought of having “The Talk” with our children, but we don’t have to be. We will be breaking “The Talk” down by age categories, starting as young as a toddler, up to young adults. It is not as complicated as you think. We’ll give you the tools and information to confidentially have a conversation about sex with your child, at any age. You can have “The Talk” with your children that is less uncomfortable, less confusing, and more beneficial than the one you had from your parents.
