Tory Tepp’s Artist Talk & Performance

September 27, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This event will feature a presentation — The Alchemy of Dirt — by A&H’s resident eco-urban land artist, Tory Tepp, in the Germaine Marvel Building (GMB). Tory will discuss the evolution of his work and introduce you to some of the professors that led him to eco-urban land art. Then we’ll head down to the Ixchel Song Garden by Lake Sybelia for an experimental sound performance titled Earthtones II — by Tory, Sean Hamilton and friends — making a stop at the Indigo Waves weaving installation on the way.

Admission: $3 A&H members, $6 general / cash bar with beer & wine in the GMB

About the artist: Tory Tepp is a land artist with an MFA in Social Practice under Suzanne Lacy at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Concerned with environmental issues surrounding urban public space and food justice, Tory engages communities through ecological systems and practices.
