Weird Homes Tour x Atlas Obscura: Pop Culture House
October 15, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Steve and Diana fell in love with each other because they shared a love of collecting. And you can certainly see that love in their Austin home. Each room is themed to showcase their various collections of fun pop culture memorabilia. Their family room holds tons of vintage 50s and 60s era action figures and lunch boxes and a Batman-themed bathroom (or Bat-throom if you will). Their office holds enough KISS collectibles to outfit the entire KISS Army. And you definitely don’t want to miss Diana’s vast Barbie collection that includes Barbies outfitted by famous fashion designers like Oscar de la Renta and Christian Dior. Real designer clothes, just Barbie-sized.
Come meet Steve and Diana and get an insider’s peek behind some of your favorite pop culture items!
Our partners at Weird Homes Tour offer a series of virtual and physical tours that allow you to visit the inside of homes, and meet collectors of oddities, rare art collectors, performance artists, painters, sculptors and architects in cities all across the USA. As you browse their 100+ homes you will see that they reject cookie cutter design and architecture and embrace the wonderfulness of weird. Check out their instagram for more amazing photos and stories.
