What’s Up Downtown: A Look Into Downtown’s Past
April 4, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 pm
FREE
A key part of our city’s plan for strategic growth is recognizing, preserving, and celebrating our past. Join us for What’s Up Downtown on Thursday, April 4 at 9:00 a.m. to take a step back in history as we embark on a Historic Walking Tour of downtown Orlando.
Along the way, you’ll hear from multiple guest speakers including Michael Perkins, Executive Director of the Historical Society and the Manager of the Orange County Regional History Center; Richard Forbes, Historic Preservation Officer with the City of Orlando; and character appearances from members of Orlando Remembered.
The tour will conclude at the Orange County Regional History Center with a speech about the historic courtroom. Following the tour, everyone is invited for a complimentary visit to see all of the exhibits within the History Center.
